FIA World Touring Car Championship
FIA World Touring Car Championship's fifth season since the series was revived in 2005. After the first two events in the Americas, the series will move to Morocco that hosts again an international automobile race after half-a-century.
Eight events in Europe will precede the two final race meetings of the season in Asia.
In 2009 the WTCC will be the only automobile World Championship to held rounds in Africa and France.

Grand Prix de Pau Historique 23rd-24th May
The Grand Prix de Pau Historique is mainly focused on the single-seaters which made its fame. Actually, those Formulas, which perfectly fit to this demanding circuit, can legitimately claim to be a major step to Formula 1. An exception to confirm the rule is the Grand Touring and Sportscars grid paying tribute to the "Trois Heures de Pau" born in 1958.
Racing takes place round the streets with great viewing from the Boulevard de Pyrenees - where there are several bars and restaurants - past the railway station and up the hill giving a lap of nearly 2 kms. Grid positions are determined on Saturday with a full days racing on Sunday.
Admission tickets included which gives access to the grandstands and the pits. Also on each day there is a display of classic vehicles in the square and parades around the city.
